Several PSV players will be heading off for international duty over the coming week. Mika Väyrynen will be travelling with the Finland party to Cyprus for a B international against Poland and an A international against Greece in Cyprus. Ismail Aissati, Otman Bakkal and Dirk Marcellis, who have been called up to the squad of the Dutch Olympic team to meet Italy, have all been forced to withdraw due to injuries.

Ibrahim Afellay is the only PSV player that has received a call-up to the Holland senior squad to face Croatia at the Poljud Stadium in Split on February 6. Australia coach Pim Verbeek has named Jason Culina in his squad for their World Cup qualifier against Qatar on February 6, while Mexico coach Hugo Sanchez has called in seven European-based players, including PSV defender Carlos Salcido, for Wednesday's friendly against the USA in Houston. Serbia coach Miroslav Djukic named PSV striker Danko Lazovic in his 22-man squad for the team's friendly away to Macedonia on February 6. PSV captain Timmy Simons has been called up to the Belgium squad for a friendly against Standard. Balázs Dzsudzsák's Hungary host Slovakia at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium in Budapest on Wednesday and Género Zeefuik is set to start for Holland Under-19 in their friendly international against Scotland Under-19.
Edison Méndez and Slobodan Rajkovic will be given a day off and report back for training on Tuesday. As several internationals will not return to Eindhoven until Thursday night or Friday morning, the Friday training session, which will take place behind closed doors, starts at 15:00.
