PSV trained behind closed doors at De Herdgang training centre on Tuesday morning, as they started to prepare for Thursday night's UEFA Cup Round of 16 first leg against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in London. Eric Addo is making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury, but Thursday's game at Tottenham Hotspur comes too early for the Ghanese defender.
Addo is stepping up his rehabilitation programme and, supervised by fitness coach Luc van Agt, he trained separately. The PSV first team squad will leave for London from Eindhoven Airport on Wednesday morning. A pre-match press conference and a training session are scheduled at White Heart Lane, the world famous home of Tottenham Hotspur in London, on Wednesday night. The training session will be behind closed doors, by order of the authorities.
The UEFA Cup Round of 16 takes place over two legs. The first leg is at the White Heart Lane on Thursday (March 6, 8.05pm, 21:05 Dutch time) and the return in Eindhoven on Thursday week (March 12, 7.45pm UK time, 20:45 Dutch time).
