While the players prepared for Thursday's crucial last-16 first-leg tie against Tottenham Hotspur at White Heart Lane, the party of sponsors and business partners that had made the trip to London were given the Grand Tour of Wimbledon, including a fascinating look behind-the-scenes. Former tennis champions Jacco Eltingh, who won the men's double title, and Jan Siemerink, who reached the quarter-finals, proved to be excellent guides.
Eltingh and Siemerink, who took part in the world's most prestigious tennis tournament for many years, captured their audience, telling several anecdotes about the world of tennis and providing valuable inside information about Wimbledon. The tour did not include the holy Centre Court, but the party visited the players' lounge, the main Press Interview Room where the all-important post-match interviews take place, the famous 'Henman Hill' where tennis fans watch the matches on large screens while enjoying their picnics on the terraces, Court Number Two, often known as 'The Graveyard of Champions', due to a series of shock results down the years, and the Wimbledon museum. Watch the best action of the Wimbledon tour.
