After Sef Vergoosen had given his views on the UEFA Cup draw, he previewed Sunday's Eredivisie encounter against Roda JC during the weekly press briefing on Friday afternoon. The PSV head coach, who once plied his trade at Roda JC, labeled Sunday's opponents as 'a mature team.' He realised much is at stake on Sunday afternoon, but did not refer to the clash with Roda JC as 'a crucial' one.
Ibrahim Afellay joined his team mates for full training on Friday morning and so did Eric Addo. The Ghanese defender will make an appearance with Young PSV and has been called up to the Ghana squad for a friendly against Mexico, scheduled in London. Fagner is the only first-team squad player who did not train this morning. The young Brazilian could be sidelined for several weeks after tearing a hamstring.

Looking ahead at Sunday's game, Vergoossen labeled Roda JC as a 'very solid and stubborn team.' 'They suffered defeat against Sparta Rotterdam last weekend, but I think they have become a much more mature team. We will face a tall task and I expect a hot Sunday afternoon in Kerkrade, even if the sun is not shining.' PSV will train at De Herdgang on Saturday afternoon at 3pm, after which they withdraw to complete preparations for Sunday's match in Kerkrade.
