After having enjoyed a day-off, it was business as usual for the PSV squad, as they started preparing on Tuesday morning for Thursday's UEFA Cup quarter final second leg with Fiorentina. Ismail Aissati and Eduardo Alcides, who were ruled out of the clash with Heracles Almelo through injuries, have returned to full fitness and joined their team mates for full training.
Head coach Sef Vergoossen and his assistants took charge of the training session. The coaching staff had divided the squad into two groups. The session was sharp, with the players in buoyant mood. Ibrahim Afellay was on the treatment table. The midfielder set up Danny Koevermans, who scored a vital away goal in the UEFA Cup quarter final first leg in Florence. PSV will train behind closed doors on Wednesday, after which Sef Vergoossen will hold a press conference to preview the Fiorentina game.
