PSV head coach Huub Stevens was forced to train with a depleted squad on Monday morning as Danny Koevermans, Nordin Amrabat, Jérémie Bréchet and Jan Kromkamp were all on the treatment table in a bid to get themselves back to full fitness, while Edison Méndez and Jason Culina trained away from the rest of the squad. Stijn Wuytens has joined up with the PSV squad for practise again.
Pre-season heats up
Bas Roorda, who is recovering from a back injury, also remained inside in the gym. The goalkeeper is making progress and feels no pain anymore. He is working hard to return to full fitness, stretching high and low. Young goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet has been added to the squad. The players were given the Sunday off, following Saturday night's friendly at amateurs SV Vaassen, but have two-a-day training sessions today and on Tuesday. The pre-season heats up as Huub Stevens' team will shortly head off for pre-season training camps in Portugal and England where they take on Sporting Lisbon, Newcastle United and Everton, respectively.
