PSV's head coach Huub Stevens was obviously delighted with his team's 5-1 victory over FC Utrecht. 'The lads did a proper job and met expectations', told Stevens PSV TV after the game. 'There is room for improvement, but I feel that that our efforts have paid off and I saw the players take some fine steps forward.'
'Once we had made the breakthrough, FC Utrecht conceded space and we took advantage. We scored our goals at appropriate moments, wrapping up the points in the closing stages of the first half. I was happy with the way we built up the fourth and fifth goal. It's too bad we conceded a goal in the final minute, but all in all, the coaching staff enjoyed a great afternoon. Yet I would like to see things in perspective. There is room for improvement, but we have certainly taken some steps forward. We played attacking football and took advantage of the space that opened up behind their defence.'
