PSV head coach Huub Sevens has surprisingly made as many as eleven changes to the team that were beaten 1-0 by AZ on Saturday. Seven of the players who started in Alkmaar are rested tonight, while four start on the bench when PSV take on Young PSV in a KNVB Cup tie tonight. Huub Stevens fields a team largely composed of fringe players and hands a debut to Funso Ojo.

Jan Kromkamp will make his long-awaited comeback after he has recovered from a severe knee injury. Carlos Salcido, who was ruled out of Saturday's game at AZ in Alkmaar due to a groin problem, also returns to the starting line-up. Seven first-team regulars will watch the game from the stand: Timmy Simons, Jérémie Bréchet, Otman Bakkal, Danny Koevermans, Ibrahim Afellay, Dirk Marcellis and Edison Méndez. Reimond Manco starts on the bench and may come on as a substitute.
