This year's FARE Action Week, which runs from 16 to 28 October, will focus on attempts inside and outside stadiums to rid the game of racism and exclusion. Football clubs, supporters, associations and organisations have joined Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE). PSV is again involved in a wide range of activities.
PSV involved for the sixth consecutive season
Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) will launch several campaigns between 16 and 28 October in order to boost public awareness of the problems of racism and exclusion. The 2008 Action Week will see a great number of events in an unprecedented 40 countries in and around football grounds all over Europe. For the ninth successive season, FARE is calling on all stakeholders across European football to make a joint stand for equality and against racism and discrimination. PSV is involved for the sixth consecutive season. This year the FARE network supports a growing number of initiatives and fan groups who deal with homophobia. FARE is supporting the projects with donations totalling €50,000. Activities on UEFA Champions League Matchday 3, 21/22 October, will help transmit the anti-racism message to packed crowds at 16 stadiums across Europe.
