PSV coach Huub Stevens admitted that he was mystified by the lack of consistency shown by his team. 'I just can't believe it', he said at the post-match press conference, where he analysed PSV's 3-2 defeat at home against .Roda JC. 'I am concerned about my team's inconsistent play. It's incredible they put up this below-par display following Wednesday's victory', said Stevens.

After Roda caretaker coach Martin Koopman had praised his team for pulling off a stunning win, Huub Stevens could not hide his disbelief after having seen his side slip to defeat. 'I can't possibly lavish praise on PSV. I just can't believe it. I am concerned about my team's inconsistent play. We made only one change from the team that did so well only three days ago. Roda produced an excellent performance, but we should never have conceded defeat. We were not clever enough tonight. Roda were patient and, unlike Olympique, would gladly have settled for a draw beforehand.'
Hamstring Afellay
Stevens presented an update on the injury that Afellay sustained during the clash with Olympique Marseille. 'He was keen to start tonight but suffers a strained hamstring. We did not want to take any undue risks.' Amrabat and Bréchet hobbled off the field after they had picked up a groin and upper leg injury respectively.
Koopman: 'We feel proud'
Roda JC coach Martin Koopman was delighted with his team's surprise win. 'We feel proud after having come through a hectic period at the club. We were well-organised and are on the right track. When PSV reduced the deficit, we survived a few scary moments, but we held on to claim a morale-boosting 3-2 win', concluded Koopman.
