The PSV first-team squad were put through their paces at the Friday morning training session at De Herdgang training complex, ahead of Sunday's clash with Ajax. One notable absentee was Ibrahim Afellay, while Andreas Isaksson and Nordin Amrabat trained separately from the group, on another pitch. Jérémie Bréchet and Eric Addo resumed training, after a few weeks on the sidelines due to injury.

Huub Stevens' team scored some fine goals at the Friday morning training session, when they practised crossing and finishing, among other things. Phillip Cocu and Ernest Faber assisted the coaching staff., with Cocu mainly talking to players individually. The first team regulars went through the motions, whereas the fringe players played some five-a-side games. Ibrahim Afellay was on the treatment table, after he had picked up a knock to his ankle during Wednesday's KNVB Cup tie away against AZ. Jan Kromkamp, who was stretchered off the pitch on Wednesday, is likely to resume training in a few days. Andreas Isaksson did not join the squad for full training either, but trained separately, while Nordin Amrabat continued his rehabilitation programme on the artificial pitch, supervised by Cees van der Linden. Jérémie Bréchet and Eric Addo resumed training, after a few weeks on the sidelines due to injury. The players trained for some ninety minutes on Friday morning and will complete preparations for the Ajax game on Saturday afternoon, when they start training at 2pm.
