PSV will take part in the Korea Peace Cup tournament for the second time. This prestigious tournament is held this year again, from 15 July until 24 July. The Eindhoven team won the first edition, following a 1-0 win over the French side Olympique Lyon.Olympique Lyon will also be in contention this year. Teams from all over the world will participate: Tottenham Hotspur (England), Real Sociedad (Spain), Boca Juniors (Argentina), Once Caldas (Colombia), Sundowns (South Africa) and Seongnam Ilhwa (South Korea). Just like in 2003 two groups of four teams will compete and the two group winners will progress to the final. The winner will receive a cheque of two million dollars; the runners-up will get 500, 000 dollars.A press conference was organized in Seoul at 11.30 (local time) today. All clubs, with the exception of Tottenham Hotspur, attended this presentation. Press officer Pedro Salazar Hewitt represented PSV. As many as over 150 journalists were present at this press conference. The South Koreans are still hugely interested in Ji-Sung Park and Young-Pyo Lee, the two South Korean players in the service of PSV, and also in Guus Hiddink. The Koreans wanted to know whether PSV would travel to Asia with their strongest squad and whether Park, Lee and Hiddink would join the party. The organizers announced that they would like to organize the tournament on another continent every other year."Organizing this tournament in South Korea for two years in a row is a bright start, but we want to conquer the world with the Peace Cup."
