PSV's General Manager Jan Reker claimed on Tuesday that the players will be given an opportunity to prepare as thoroughly as possible for the second part of the 2008/09 season. That's why PSV will hold a three-day training camp La Manga, where they face Anderlecht in a friendly match on Friday. Huub Stevens and his coaching staff will also take charge of six training sessions in Spain.
'FC Den Bosch friendly doubtful'
Reker also told PSV TV that the friendly against FC Den Bosch, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 13, is doubtful. 'We must see what options are left. That friendly is doubtful, as FC Den Bosch have no undersoil heating facilities', explained Reker, who added that PSV face a hectic schedule in La Manga. The squad will train on arrival on Wednesday and a double session is planned for Thursday. The players will again train on Friday, prior to the friendly with Anderlecht, and Huub Stevens will put his charges through their paces twice on Saturday, before PSV fly back to Eindhoven on Saturday evening.
