Dwight Lodeweges announced at the weekly press briefing that Danko Lazovic will replace the suspended Balázs Dzsudzsák when PSV play host to N.E.C. on Sunday. Lodeweges will take charge of PSV for the last time as head coach at a game in the Philips Stadium, as he has agreed on a two-year deal with N.E.C Nijmegen.
Bréchet returned to full training
Lodeweges said he realised he will be in the spotlight on Sunday when his team entertain N.E.C, the club he has agreed to join at the start of next season, but added he will obviously only focus on Sunday's game with PSV. 'N.E.C. are impressive, footballing wise, with some neat passing. Some of their players have developed into leaders on the pitch and they won't be scared of us. But we are PSV and we should only look at ourselves', said Lodeweges after the Friday morning training session, which was held at the Philips Stadium behind closed door. 'We continued preparations for Sunday's game in a relaxed training session, with no cameras around. ' Ibrahim Afellay skipped training, but will join the squad for the Saturday training. Mike Zonneveld is doubtful with an ankle problem and Haibin Zhou is not match fit either. Jérémie Bréchet has returned to full training, though, and has come through today's session unscathed. Balázs Dzsudzsák is suspended and Danko Lazovic will replace the Hungarian left winger.
Finish as strongly as possible
Dwight Lodeweges will be in charge as PSV head coach for the last time in Eindhoven. 'I've made a deliberate choice to leave the club and I can hold my head up high. I've had a great time here. We want to put in an entertaining display on Sunday afternoon and finish the season as strongly as possible. PSV have made progress the past few months, with the clash against Ajax the highlight of the season. The club's mission was to qualify for Europe next season, while I also wanted my team to perform better and more consistently at the top of their potential. We have extended our winning streak to five games and played some decent football. We would like to treat our fans to another open an entertaining game. We'll go for it', concluded Lodeweges. PSV will not make a make a trip to Hungary when the season is over. The last round of matches is scheduled to take place on Sunday 10 May. The players will attend the annual PSV Phoxy Club Day and train on Monday 11 May and Tuesday 12 May before going on holiday.
