Jason Culina, Dwight Lodeweges and Jan Wouters bade farewell to the Philips Stadium in an appropriate manner. General Manager Jan Reker made a short speech after the PSV-N.E.C. game. The trio were presented with flowers and received a standing ovation from the crowd when they did a lap of honour.
Standing ovation
Culina joined PSV in the 2005/06 season and was crowned Eredivisie champion with PSV three times. He has signed a three-year deal with Gold Coast United in his homeland. Fans already started singing songs and chanting his name in the closing stages and when he did his lap of honour, in the company of his son Roman, he received a standing ovation. The fans also said goodbye to the coaches Dwight Lodeweges and Jan Wouters. Lodeweges will take charge of N.E.C. as head coach next season and Wouters will return to FC Utrecht. PSV.nl wishes them all the best in their new careers.
