PSV have decided not to appeal against Edison Méndez's four-match ban, of which one game is suspended, for the red card he received in PSV's 1-1 draw against N.E.C. The Ecuadorian midfielder was shown a straight red card by referee Richard Liesveld for a challenge on Lasse Schöne.
Lazovic handed one-game suspension
Méndez will miss the final game of the season at Willem II and possibly the first two encounters of the 2009/10 season. Danko Lazovic was sent off in the same match for two bookable offences. First he took off his shirt after having scored the opening goal from the spot and minutes later he was again shown a yellow card for an accidental handball. Lazovic has been handed a one-game suspension and will miss Sunday's game at Willem II.
