Last night the remaining four UEFA Champions League first knock-out round ties were played. Manchester United suffered a 0-1 defeat at Old Trafford against AC Milan and Chelsea FC were beaten 2-1 by FC Barcelona in Nou Camp.Sir Alex Ferguson did not dare to include Ruud van Nistelrooy in his starting line-up yet and the Dutch defender Jaap Stam was withdrawn from the AC Milan squad by coach Carlo Ancelotti, after he had picked up an injury during the warming-up. Van Nistelrooy came on after all on 64 minutes to replace Ronaldo, when the score was still 0-0. But Hernan Crespo snatched victory for his side on 78 minutes with a simple tap-in after a defensive error. Manchester United will face an uphill battle in the return leg in San Siro in two weeks' time, when they attempt to reach the quarter finals. Barcelona stage a brave comeback: 2-1For a long time FC Barcelona were the dominating side in Nou Camp against Chelsea FC. Yet the English took the lead on 33 minutes against the run of play, following an unfortunate own goal by Belletti. It was not until Drogba was dismissed for a second booking that Barça were able to create some space. Justice was done after all, when substitute López and Eto'o scored two goals that ensured victory for the Catalans. Former PSV star Mateja Kezman did not leave the bench.Below you will find all the results of the UEFA Champions League first knock-out round ties. The return legs are scheduled for 8 and 9 March, returns. Internazionale-FC Porto is scheduled for 15 March.
