AS Monaco suffered a 1-0 defeat against PSV in the Champions League tie in Eindhoven; they did not get their revenge in the domestic league, either. The Monegasques slipped to a 2-1 defeat, away against Nice. AS Monaco coach Didier Deschamps had brought some changes to the team that faced PSV. Goalkeeper Roma, Plasil and Zikos had been replaces by, respectively, Audard, Perez and Modesto.The hosts took the lead in the Du Ray Stadium on thirteen minutes, thanks to a goal scored by Balmont. Substitute David Gigliotti drew AS Monaco level on the hour mark, but Edersen made sure of the three points for his side six minutes later.AS Monaco FC now go twelve points behind top-of-the-French Ligue1 table and occupy the fourth place.
