The PSV squad trained at De Herdgang training ground on Tuesday morning in order to prepare for the massive domestic league game, away against FC Groningen on Thursday night. It was the first training session following the Sunday afternoon game against ADO Den Haag. The players had a day off on Monday. There was definitely more than a touch of spring in the air when the squad had their training session, guided by the assistant coaches Fred Rutten and René Eijkelkamp. They did, among other things, a piggy in the middle and played a game of football. The players who will make an appearance with the reserves on Tuesday night, Remco van der Schaaf, Michael Lamey, Eric Addo and Ibi Afellay, did not join their colleague for training. The PSV reserves meet Young Excelsior at De Herdgang on Tuesday night. Another training session is scheduled at De Herdgang on Wednesday morning at ten oclock. PSV will face FC Groningen on Thursday night, after which they will focus on the clash against Ajax, with their newly appointed coach Danny Blind, on Sunday afternoon.
