Ajax crashed to their biggest defeat ever against an experienced PSV side in the Amsterdam ArenA on Sunday afternoon. PSV, who have frequently been successful in the Arena, strolled to an emphatic 0-4 win over Ajax. Mark van Bommel was the star of the afternoon. The PSV captain netted as many as three goals, one of which was from the spot.PSV controlled the game completely and dominated proceedings in midfield. Ajax were professionally kept at bay, while the Eindhoven side patiently waited for their own chances. PSV were on top after some thirty minutes, when André Ooijer delivered the perfect cross for Phillip Cocu to superbly head home; 0-1. Then Mark van Bommel got his name on the score sheet. In first half injury time he coolly slotted home, after he had been found by Vennegoor of Hesselink. Van Bommel scored a double in the second period. First he clinically converted a penalty. And then Jefferson Farfán turned provider for the third Van Bommel goal. Hiddink: 'We need few chances''PSV head coach Guus Hiddink expressed his delight with his sides performance, at the post-match press conference. He praised the tactical disciplinary skills of his players.Hiddink explained: "We were a well-organized team and conceded little. We have needed few chances this season to score goals and today was no exception. We dictated the pace of the game and we have hardly been threatened."Mark van Bommel was also content with his teams performance. The PSV captain had seen how his side had dominated in midfield."We were running the show in midfield, but we also did well in defence and attack. The difference between the two sides was not that big in the initial stages, but gradually we became the better team."
