Jo Bonfrere, the Dutch coach of the national football team of South Korea, has named a 22-man squad for next month's FIFA World Cup 2006 qualifying matches against Uzbekistan and Kuwait. Ji-Sung Park and Young-Pyo Lee, the players in the service of PSV, are among those players that have received a call-up. These qualifying games are scheduled after the end of the current campaign. South Korea will meet Uzbekistan in Tashkent on 3 June and five days later they will be on the road to Kuwait City where they face the national team of Kuwait. South Korea are on top of Group A in the in the final round of Asian qualifiers. They have collected one more point than Saudi Arabia. After the away fixtures against Uzbekistan and Kuwait, Korea Republic's final qualifier will be at home in Seoul against Saudi Arabia on 17August next.Park as well as Lee are requested to take a flight from Amsterdam to Uzbekistan , the day after the Dutch Amstel Cup final (30 May), where they will join their team mates of the South Korean national squad.
