The national football team of Brazil, with PSV goalkeeper Gomes, has arrived in Germany. The Seleçao will participate in the FIFA Confederations Cup, the tournament that is regarded as the warm-up World Cup 2006. ParreiraBrazil arrived in Frankfurt, where stars like Ronaldinho, Robinho and Kaka set foot on German soil, while they were greeted by a great many photographers. So Gomes, who was called up for the second time by Carlos Alberto Parreira, coach of the Brazilian team, was one of the players in the Brazilian squad. "I am delighted to be in Germany and to be able to see the new stadiums, particularly in view of FIFA World Cup next year", announced the Brazilian coach politely to his German hosts. "We did not want to miss the opportunity to play in the Confederations Cup exactly a year before the World Cup.ThursdayBrazil will play their first game next Thursday, when they meet European champions Greece in Leipzig.
