John de Jong is delighted with the recovery he has made from his injury. The midfielder has joined the squad for full training and may make an appearance against Olympique Lyon in Seoul on Wednesday. "Things are going my way." Availability"I first need to complete a few first team squad training sessions, but things are certainly looking bright", he felt in Gwangju, where PSV meet Once Caldas tonight. "I don’t feel any pain, although I feel the after-effects of a tough training session. I am delighted. I may even get some playing time in the third group game against Lyon." PSV team doctor Tjaarda Weber emphasizes that De Jong has made much progress. "He is recovering well; he will certainly be available to play games again, when we have returned to Holland." De Jong was suffering from injury woe in the second part of last season, but he has been working hard ever since to stage a come back. He now joins all the training sessions in Korea.Ibrahim AfellayIbrahim Afellay is also recovering well from the ankle injury he sustained during the World Cup U20 in Holland the other day. "Things are going better, but it takes time to recover completely. I’m making progress, though." Afellay joins the squad for training to do particular exercises, but most of the time he has his own individual training. "My ankle is still sore, but I feel fine. There are some exercises I can effortlessly do." Doctor Weber thinks that Afellay will join the first team squad for full training when he has returned to Holland.
