The PSV squad arrived at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, at an hour’s ride from Seoul, about 90 minutes before the game against Olympique Lyon was going to be kicked off. The French champions arrived at the stadium at about the same time. Chatting upPSV and Olympique Lyon last met three months ago. Several players took time to chat up. Thus Eric Addo and Michael Essien met in the players’ tunnel and Gomes and his country fellow Cris shared a laugh.
