Ahead of the opening game of the new season, away against Heracles on Saturday night, the PSV first team squad will have a training session in the Almelo Pollman Stadium on Friday night. Heracles are one of the two professional football organizations in Holland that have an artificial pitch at their disposal.Artificial pitchCambuur Leeuwarden are the other Dutch club that play their home games on an artificial pitch. The PSV coaching staff have decided to take the opportunity to train in Almelo in order to have a very good preparation to the game and get used to the rather unusual circumstances. Heracles met the amateur club DCG in Amsterdam on Tuesday night in an Amstel Cup tournament tie. The Almelo based side collected a 0-3 win, thanks to goals scored by Nico-Jan Hoogma, Remon de Vries and Kwame Quansah. Hendrie KrüzenPSV.TV was in Almelo on Tuesday to sample the atmosphere at the newly promoted club. Former PSV player Hendrie Krüzen was interviewed in the stadium, where a lot of hard work is being done to get everything ready for the curtain raiser of the season. The Heracles assistant coach thinks that the home side are not really favourites, as far as the artificial pitch is concerned. "Just look at what happened last season. We lost more games at home than on our travels."
