Johan Vonlanthen made sure of victory for NAC by scoring a superb goal against rivals Willem II: 1-0. The player, on loan from PSV, opened his scoring account for the yellow-blacks in the dying minutes. He was not taken off until five minutes into the second half, when Vonlanthen came on to replace him. It was not a great game. Ceesay earned the best chance for Willem II, but he only hit the bar. Willem II winger Kevin Robson was red-carded by referee Luinge. And when both teams seemed to have settled for a draw, Vonlanthen superbly curled the ball past keeper Oscar Moens.
