Together with three PSV team mates, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has been named for the squad of the Dutch team that play World Cup 2006 qualification games against Armenia (3 September) and Andorra (7 September). 23 playersMarco van Basten has named a 23-man squad, among whom the PSV players Wilfred Bouma, Phillip Cocu and Theo Lucius. The coach of the national team has not included Mark van Bommel in his squad. Van Bommel was in Monaco yesterday, as he was nominated for the award of the best midfielder of last season’s Champions League. AC Milan midfielder Kaka won the prestigious award and Van Bommel was runner-up.
