After having lived an adventurous life in Italy, Spain and Great Britain for nine seasons, Michael Reiziger has returned to Holland once again. The defender, who has been capped 72 times, showed his familiar radiant smile at his official presentation. Dutch teamReiziger told media representatives that ‘the Dutch team’ is by no means ‘a closed book’, a far as he is concerned. The experienced defender has been signed to strengthen the defensive options, after the rather unexpected departures of Young-Pyo Lee en Wilfred Bouma. Guus Hiddink met Reiziger, when he was coach of the Dutch team. And Reiziger has been a team mate of Phillip Cocu at FC Barcelona for many seasons. Reiziger made four appearances for Middlesbrough in the current campaign, but he will now ply his trade on the PSV training pitch with immediate effect. When the press conference was over, Reiziger went to the stands in the stadium, where he proudly showed his brand-new PSV shirt.
