André Ooijer is back in the squad of the national Dutch team. Two more PSV players, Phillip Cocu and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, have been called up for the squad that meet Italy in a friendly on 12 November next. 'Ooijer in great shape'Although Ooijer has proved he has been in great shape for a long period yet, he was not called up for the previous international games, but Marco van Basten, coach of the Dutch national team, has decided that he could no longer ignore him. "It is great that André has received a call-up, as he has been putting on some fine displays lately", responded PSV head coach Guus Hiddink. PSV captain Phillip Cocu, a regular in the national squad, who was dropped from the squad as he had to serve a two-match ban, has been included in the squad again.
